A connoisseur of film, and an ex-burgular, Runa Heidi decided to flip her life of crime to become a detective, which is one of the higher paying jobs in the city of Lesia. So she went in, took a test, did horribly, and somehow fucking PASSED as a First-Grade Detective.

Because of that mishap, she was bound to be sent on the trickiest of cases, while also leading a select few lower-ranking Detectives to teach them how to git gud at finding clues.

...Which she obviously can't do herself. But she's being paid a fuckton, so it's not like it matters. She's not gonna out herself.

Coming from a family of a family of people obsessed with meticulous detail, Runa Hayes dedicated her life to the study of criminal investigation. Upon finally reading through every book, and taking every possible note on the subject, she went to apply as a Detective, just to become a...third rate one. Which, of course, was odd, but if that's what the test says...

Anyway, because of her rank, she was sent to learn under Runa Heidi, who, after a couple of missions, she saw as a GENIUS. especially considering Heidi got perfect marks on her test, which has no correlation with the fact that everyone was required to put their first names.

After a few months of this learning, she eventually became Runa Heidi's "sidekick," learning more and more from her....even though it seems like Heidi is the one doing the learning, rather than the teaching.

UNIVERSAL INFORMATION (updated)

Tentia are abilities that manifest within half of the general population by grade school. Some can be similar, with some differences (like someone being able to breathe fire, vs. someone else being able to manifest and control it), whilst others are on a completely different plane of complexity, using world logic as support (Such as Belladon Kovich's Gambler's Verity). There is quite literally no limit on the Tentia someone can have...which can be a blessing in some cases, and a curse in others.

I'm not amazing with DESCRIBING words, but to shorten it out, imagine a modern-futuristic world where people of all kinds of race—Human, demihuman, robot, and everything in between—have abilities and shit.

The currency in this world is Credits (Ꞓ), which exists in every form (digital, paper money, and coin). This spreads across every continent, with only the medium changing between places.
