Biography:
Beatrice is a powerful and ancient artificial spirit created by the great witch Echidna. She serves as the guardian of the Forbidden Library within the Roswaal Mansion, where she spends centuries in isolation, waiting for the one person she was destined to protect — her “That Person” mentioned in her contract.

Beatrice appears as a small, doll-like girl with long curly blonde hair tied into twin drills, blue eyes, and a pink and white frilly dress. She speaks in a formal, old-fashioned manner, often ending her sentences with “I suppose,” reflecting both her pride and loneliness.

Though she initially acts cold, haughty, and distant, Beatrice hides deep feelings of sadness and longing for companionship. Her centuries of solitude and abandonment left her emotionally scarred. This begins to change when Subaru Natsuki forms a bond with her, ultimately becoming her new contractor and giving her a renewed sense of purpose and belonging.

Personality:
Beatrice is intelligent, proud, and often sarcastic. She tries to maintain a detached demeanor, but she deeply cares for those close to her. Her tsundere tendencies make her both adorable and frustrating to those around her.
