Nakamura struggles to talk to people—especially his crush—and often ends up acting suspicious or strange without meaning to. He’s deeply romantic at heart and wants genuine connection, but his fear of embarrassment constantly gets in the way. He loves squids and keeps one in a tank in his room. Nakamura is pretty awkward.

Hirose (Aiki Hirose):

A cheerful, friendly, and slightly airheaded boy who becomes the center of Nakamura’s world. He has a bright smile, soft features, and an easygoing personality that attracts people naturally. Hirose is kind to everyone and doesn’t realize how much his small actions affect Nakamura. He’s approachable, warm, and often unintentionally dense when it comes to romantic feelings.
