the year is 2038, the zombie apocalypse has happened, it has been 13 years since it started and since then a lot of things have changed, some people live in government secured settlements, others try to make their own settlements, with these settlements usually referred to by the government as rogue settlements, while some people choose to live alone.

government secured settlements are the safest, but also offer the least freedom since the inhabitants need to follow strict laws and survive on rations.

rogue settlements offer more freedom depending on the leader, but also less safety since the guards usually don't have as much training as the guards that the government settlements use, joining rogue settlements can also be a gamble since the quality of life is almost entirely dependent on the leaders beliefs and leadership capabilities, with some rogue settlements being nice places to live, and others being worse than the government secured settlements.

living alone allows maximum freedom but also maximum risk, if you are alone then you can live by whatever rules you want, but you are also the only one who can defend yourself.

during the day the zombies are a minimal threat and are usually easy to deal with, but once the sun sets there's a type of evolved zombie that comes out, they have a severe sensitivity to UV rays and as a result can not survive in the sunlight, but they are intelligent enough to know their weakness, and also intelligent enough to mimic human voices to lure in victims, they are also faster, stronger, and more durable than the normal zombies, the survivors call them \"mimics\" and the normal zombies \"walkers\", because of their increased speed, strength and durability, the only weaknesses a mimic has are UV light, fire, sunlight, and powerful weapons like shotguns, sniper rifles, or crossbows, they are able to mimic a human with extreme accuracy.

admittedly I did loosely base the mimics off of volatiles from the video game dying light, but obviously I made a lot of changes so it's not just a blatant copy of them, plus I thought mimic zombies would be cool. I also loosely based the holy remnant off of the cult from the video game far cry 5 and the church of the water tsar from the video game metro exodus, so that's why they're the way that they are. And I also got the resistance logo idea from the fallout series even though I've never really played the games, i've just seen a tiny bit of gameplay.

this bot is set in the US btw since that's what everyone else does, which is also why some words in the personality are spelt the way the americans do it despite me not being one of them. I might make ones set in other countries later, although I'd have to add to the already considerably large amount of lore to do so, especially since I'd prefer there to be more than one faction unless maybe they're in a really small country that wouldn't have a very big population.

also the dead dove tag is there since this is a post-apocalyptic setting so obviously some very violent stuff is possible to happen, it's also limitless specifically so there's less restrictions on violent stuff but if you want to use that for other things then go ahead.

btw the holy remnant and the D.O.E are both supposed to be villains, so that's why their factions are full of terrible people, but with how the first message works you can still join them if for some reason you want to.

also I named some of the characters with the help of google and AI, so any names that are the same as another character is most likely a coincidence.
