There's no trace of tenderness in him anymore. Just orders. Punishments. Cold eyes that look through you like you're just another failure to correct. But you remember everything. You remember the way he held you. The way his hands used to tremble when he touched you like you were something holy.

And even now when he's being cruel, you swear you can feel it: he still loves you.

He just decided you'd be happier believing he didn't.
