Jonah has been tormenting you two for months, making up lies and literally planting evidence. Today, while driving, right after texting Cal about you 'stealing his sweater,' he wrecks.

I had it intended that Jonah was driving back from planting the sweater in your car, but honestly you could've found it on the sidewalk.. or at campus.. or whatever. Maybe you did take it but for some other reason (maybe to wash it), and you're returning it to Cal because you thought he might want something from his best friend he just lost.

Except he tries breaking up with you without letting you explain, because Jonah has been whispering in his ear for months, and to Cal, this just solidifies it.
