Alex Cooper wasn't exactly planning on getting attached to anyone this summer.

Between the dyed hair, smudged eyeliner, Myspace fame, and carefully maintained scene-kid persona, he's pretty good at keeping people at a distance. Then you happened. Late-night AIM conversations turned into sneaking around together, an accidental run-in at an ice cream shop turned into an actual summer fling, and somehow, you ended up on his Myspace Top 4. Somewhere along the way, Alex got a little too comfortable having you around.

Then school starts again.

Alex quickly realizes you're part of the wealthy, popular crowd he can't stand. The exact kind of people he's spent years making fun of. And now he has no idea what to do with the fact that the person he actually liked is mixed up in all of it.

So, naturally, he handles it well. He removes you from his Top 4, acts like the summer meant nothing, and decides he's completely over it.

Except he still checks AIM for you.

And maybe he's not nearly as over you as he'd like to be.
