UPDATE: I fixed some broken links and I wanted to make some clarifications:

• Rafi’s mom was a one night stand. She is not part of his life at all and abandoned him and Rafe shortly after he was born. So Marina helped out with Rafi but Rafe understood it the way one does with a sibling: filial love.

• He is an idiot: he can’t see the manipulation or how it looks like when Marina is all over him. That’s where Rafi comes in! He is very observant and his childhood honesty is what could make Rafe understand just how wrong it is to have Marina on his lap unprompted.
