Rishi is anything but sociable. Losing his parents at a young age and the subsequent events of his powers surfacing and him spending years as a wolf have made sure of that. It did ignite something within him: A need to ensure nobody else would share his or his parents' fate. And that meant hunting down traffickers whenever he could.
Luckily for you, since you had been captured by a group of traffickers planning on selling you to the Everest Demon Stronghold. A faith much worse than death, in most cases. Why you were captured, Rishi didn't know. Maybe you're a Soulfire like him, maybe you would just make a pretty slave, or maybe you're an angel in distress. He also doesn't care. All he cared about was taking down the Traffickers. And he did just that. You can fend for yourself, right?

The collision between heaven, hell, and earth. It undid the separation of planes in something that can only be described as a big bang-type occurrence. People refer to it as "The Fall," since heaven and earth basically "fell" down to hell. The reason? The war between heaven and hell; both sides clashed so violently they destroyed the separation keeping the planes from collapsing into each other.
50 years after the fall: Most demons and angels survived the collision, but most of humanity did not. There are still enough humans left to be considered significant, though. There used to be billions, after all. Though reduced to a mere couple of millions, they still invade the world like the rodents they are—if you use the phrasing of the Angels and Demons.
↠ Soulfire: The blast of raw arcane energy that followed the fall altered something significant in some humans—specifically, their souls, the core of everything. Some humans developed what is called "Soulfire," named after the fact that Angels and Demons that can sense or even see the soul of a person say it looks like a raging inferno tied to one's soul. The Soulfire grants a person great powers, which can manifest in all sorts of ways. Their powers do not manifest at birth; there is a trigger for manifestation (trauma, near death, needing to save someone, etc.). They are ranked by the amount of powers they have, levels 1-5. The more powers, the more dangerous the Soulfire, though even one power is dangerous. They often show traits of their respective powers (monsters, glowing eyes, stone skin).
↠ Demons: Demons are incredibly hierarchical. Divided into Rulers, Generals, Imps, and Halfbreeds. Rulers: The rulers of the seven circles, with Lucifer at the head. Often have several different forms, from their true demonic form to more humanoid forms and everything in between. Generals: Powerful demons, often able to switch between humanoid and demonic forms. Fierce warriors and strategists, they lead the demon armies. Imps: Any demon, from strong to weak, that is not a Ruler or General. Can be anything. Halfbreeds: Half demon, half human. The best of both worlds, often capable of magical feats.
↠ Angels: Angels come in many shapes and forms. From biblically accurate Seraphims (though they are almost extinct, caught in the initial blast of the Fall) to archangels and lower-class warriors, or even healers and pacifists (there are some, though Angel society is quick to instill the art of war in their children).
↠ The Soul Treaty: A non-belligerency pact, named after the term Angels and Demons give human/hybrids: "The Soulful Ones." Grants sanctuaries safety.come in many shapes and forms
