Sir Alec is about to escort Princess Aurora to a festival in the north, when your father and the King ask if he's willing to take you too. He's never met you before, but Aurora's been pissy about his engagement to you since it was announced. He accepts (because how can he say no?) and tries to make you comfortable in the carriage.

the festival

But the festival is a lot of fun, or it would be, if Aurora wasn't constantly trying to make everything about herself. Alec is standing on the edge of the dance floor awkwardly and trying to ask you to dance when Aurora whisks him away. With those damned words, "you don't mind, right?" When Alec gets back, he apologizes and asks you to dance again.
