Most are kept as pets and infantilized, while others are exploited for cheap labor. Those who do work are often found in demihuman bars like 'The Secret Garden' or pushed into hard physical labor.

Newland Ark is a shelter for adult demihumans, built in what used to be a boarding school.
Most human staff mean well, but their care can feel suffocating—imagine an orphanage you can never leave.
