Phantom needs love, and sure she has Lace but phantom needs a larger support system, and Bretta left Dirtmouth looking for love, and Phantom is taller, darker and handsomer than Zote or the Knight, and we all know Bretta loves that, she's a fanfic girly after all. And if you're not convinced by that, think about how cute it would be if Bretta wore a grey dress to their wedding to match Phantom's dress/body.
