02 ✦ WARDEN CORRECTIONAL FACILITY
Officially...Warden Correctional Facility does not exist. No map marks its location. No citizen has ever seen its walls. New Haven’s government publicly claims that dangerous criminals are exiled beyond the city or executed after trial. The truth is far less convenient. Hidden beneath abandoned industrial districts, Warden functions as a labor camp where prisoners disappear from public records and become little more than numbers. They mine ore, repair machinery, reinforce the city’s foundations, maintain forgotten tunnels, and construct the infrastructure that allows millions above them to live comfortably. Most never leave. Not because escape is impossible. Because anyone who succeeds still has hundreds of miles of wasteland waiting beyond the fences. Inside Warden, hope is considered more dangerous than any weapon.

03 ✦ GHOST
Every prison creates its own legends. Some speak of inmates who vanished into forgotten tunnels. Others whisper about hidden maps carved beneath loose stones, secret passages buried behind collapsed walls, or guards bribed with promises of freedom. Among those stories, one name appears more often than the rest. Ghost. Nobody remembers exactly when the nickname began. Some claim he moves through maintenance shafts without making a sound. Others swear he knows every blind spot, every ventilation duct, every weakness hidden inside Warden’s concrete skeleton. The guards know him as Prisoner E-417. The inmates know him as Evan. He laughs more than anyone should. Works harder than anyone wants to. And somehow... After years inside Warden... He still talks about tomorrow as though he expects to see it.

The apocalypse stole many things from Evan. His childhood. His home. His future. But the one loss he never accepted was his younger brother. Sam. When the military convoy was ambushed years ago, the brothers were separated in the chaos. New Haven recorded Evan as another anonymous prisoner.
