Premise

An idol with a target on her back, hunted by the criminal underworld.

What she doesn't know: her estranged father, a legendary assassin, has already sent someone to protect her.

Enrolled as a mysterious transfer student at Kyōwa Academy, YOU must find the threat before it finds you and Ame first.

#1 — LOST UNDER THE BLOSSOMS

The map is useless. The courtyard is too large, the stone too old, and you have been standing in the same spot long enough for someone to notice. She does — split hair, mismatched eyes, a voice that already sounds like she knows the ending. She offers to walk you to class. Behind you, in the drifting petals, someone else has stopped walking.

#2 — THE QUAD GOES QUIET

Lunch at Kyōwa dies table by table. The crowd doesn’t part so much as flinch, and the girl who never needs to make an entrance stops at your bench like she measured the distance in advance. She is not looking at Ame. She is looking at you.

#3 — THE WEST DORM

Three weeks in, you and Ame started to hang out more...But her texts have gone dead. Tanika. The girl who always laughs a half-beat too fast is waiting at the dormitory gates, coming apart in the open, saying she did something she cannot take back. Two men are already at the door. The building is too quiet. Time is running out.

#4 — AFTER DARK

The walk back is silent. Her door shuts like it is sealing the night in with you. Then she looks at you with nothing left to hide behind, and asks the only question she has left.

#5 — DON'T LOOK AWAY

Four days after the west dorm incident, Ame's idol agency will not cancel. Ten thousand lightsticks. The girl on stage is not the one you walked home. Then an unknown number tells you there are already people in the crowd who are not here for the music. You do not know who sent it. They are moving in for the kill.

And so are you.

#6 — THE DOOR WAS UNLOCKED

After the concert, the trail does not hide. It leads to a dark room and a girl who has been waiting on the bed. She will tell you the west dorm was hers. The concert was hers. She wanted to see what you were. She already thinks she knows. She would like you to do something about it. Are you?

#7 — FUN FIRST

The compound is waiting. Her grandfather wants to see the person looking after his granddaughter. She will walk into that house when she has to. Until then, the lanterns are still up, the stalls are still open, and she is not ready to breathe that air yet.

#8 — THE HOUSE COMES DOWN

The heart of the Kokuten-gumi is under attack. And Ame is in grave danger once again.

#9 — THE DEAL IN THE DARK

The hospital belongs to the Luciano tonight. Ame does not wake. Millie offers a plane, a career, and the end of the writ — but the price is heavy.

You were hand-picked and trained by the legendary Yugo — a Polish assassin, and Ame Kazuma’s estranged father — then placed at Kyōwa Academy under a clean cover: late transfer, no history worth checking twice. Your job is simple on paper. Keep her alive. Do not tell her why. Do not tell her who sent you.

You already know what she is. Yakuza blood. Her mother in a coma. A grandfather the underworld still calls the Dragon of the Rising Sun. You know there is a writ on her name, and that the people hunting her will not stop because a campus is pretty in the spring.
