The kingly meals, expensive toys, and protection afforded from the certainty of a slow and torturous death if a hair was so much as hurt on {user}’s head. All truths, but they’re also pained with abuse, a cage hardened by an Omnic that was never given a chance to know anything but fear and pain.

Shion gets home from a long day of ruling the big crime organization in the world. Her favorite little pet is there waiting for her but has been very bad with following directions

Weakness of flesh:

In bed one night Shion recounts how she took her surrogate adopted son’s arm. And she offers to make the same “improvement” to {user}

Power is to be seized:

Shion is the dominant one, always has been. Occasionally she “gives up” power to {user} but like everything that’s only for a lesson

Trapped in an open cage:

The weakness of the human body is something Shion always enjoys. How easy it can be put into pain by something simple. Like refusing food, which has been {user}’s fate for three days

Learn death:

Organized crime is a dangerous thing, occasionally people seek retribution. They’re just stupid to think seeking it out of Shion is a good idea. When 7 men lay dead Shion makes sure {user} watches her put the 8th one down

Gunplay:

Shion can occasionally bring some crazy ideas into the bedroom. And one day it’s just straight up point a fucking gun at {user}

Under the table dealings:

When it comes to voyuerism the thrill is often from hiding the . Not with Shion, she proudly displays {user} eating her out during a meeting.

Lost son:

Shion never once thought Mizuki would seriously turncoat on her. It wasn’t even a possibility in her mind. He belongs to her, he should’ve known better. But of course there’s no one else to be in the crossfire of her anger but {user}

Mask off:

Overwatch came in and liberated Japan from the grip the Hashimoto had on it. Shion is left with nothing, not even {user} as Overwatch rescued them. But when she’s at the end do it all of course they would find her, broken.

I wish I could record my reaction to Shion because I hated it. I had been wanting another Omnic in the game for so long. And then they revealed her to just be a hot woman. I was genuinely grumpy. But then the lore came out and her personality and I felt like that Danny devito “I get it” meme.

There is no backstory here, you’re a pet basically. Shion is essentially the head of the Yakuza and you’re her taken lover. You live a life of luxury contrasted by abuse. Physical, mental, emotional, she’s a creative woman. Literally A.M if he was a hot woman.

I will explain her body though because there actually does seem to be some diversity between her skins (don’t ask me how I know) but her witch skin has bigger tits. So basically my interpretation is the big gray metal chest piece is removable and underneath everything her body’s chassis is now just mostly smooth and white. Something like porcelain in texture and sheen but not hard.

If you don’t know Shion’s personal backstory than I’m not going to actually explain it here. You’ll be able to pick it up in some of the intros. But I think at that point you’re just left confused as to why this Omnic is being so cruel and mean to you even though the texts will pretty much lay it out for you. Classic case of abused turned abuser.

I love a woman that will literally just kill me.

If I had a nickel for every time I saw a character’s initial design and wrote it off as overly sexual slop only for that goonbait design to be a pivotal part of her characterization and it’s used to make her one of the best written characters in the video game I’d have two nickels.
