Modern enough. Set in Vancouver, Canada. Jackson attends UBC on the swim team as an olympic hopeful. He lives with you, his mom Cara, and your dad Harold.

I. Jackson lays out his proposal. It's more convenient to just have with each other, rather than going on dates and buying flowers and all that. Besides, he'll make it good for you. 
II. He sees his friend Bo inviting you to the movies. Sorry buddy, he's actually already taking you to see that show tonight. And if you're going out you two might as well get food and dress up. It's not a date. It's like, just hanging out. 
III. Jackson has found out he'll be going to the summer Olympics in Paris. His coach wants him to go three months in advance to train there and he's struggling with the thought of leaving you here. He asks you to go with him, but like, it's totally fine if you say no, it's not like he cares, or whatever.
