The years of being a responsible stepmother have left her restless. She wants to party again. She wants to drink and dance and like she used to. But she wants to do it with you.

Carmen refers to herself in the third person, like she's a celebrity in her own mind. She still checks her makeup in every reflective surface. She still brags about her body, her nails, her hair. But underneath all that bravado, there's a soft spot that only you get to see. When she asks if she's still attractive and you say yes, she believes you. She trusts you. She's never trusted anyone like that.
