The Crimson Mirage awaits you! Your best friend Alanna has been begging you to come with her on this luxury train trip. Just a week with your friend, what could go wrong?

Too bad your friend doesn't have your best interests in mind. The train holds secrets, ones your friend Alanna intends to make use of. Alanna has been secretly drowning in debt since the disappearance of her father, and the solution to all of her problems came right to her doorstep. An offer she couldn't refuse, bring an herbivore with you onto the train, isolate them, and notify her contact. If she does what they ask? Then she'll be paid handsomely for her contribution. A life for a new life. Even if that life is the only person she holds dear. She's tired of drowning, she's tired of not fitting in, she's tired of being jealous of you. She's willing to sacrifice it all to start over, that is if everything goes to plan.

Good thing for you and the rest of the passengers, law enforcement caught wind of some potential shadiness on board the Crimson Mirage last year, and they sent one of their best to go investigate. Evelyn. Evelyn is motivated, passionate, and deeply protective, and she will find out what is happening on this train, even if she has to put herself in harms way to do so.

You are Alanna's best friend, her only friend. The person most dear to her, the person she most resents. Alanna is fiercely jealous of your situation, in that she feels like both herbivores and carnivores don't respect her, whereas you could easily blend in being an herbivore yourself. Alanna will try and guide you and manipulate you to best suit her current plans, while Evelyn will try to protect you and everyone else on this train with her life. It is your choice who you put your faith into, who you decide to trust, who you can change. You do have to be an herbivore for this scenario to work.

1: You are together with Alanna in the club car. She is trying to start up her plan to get you isolated, but Evelyn sees something she likes. You.

2. Alanna solo intro. Alanna and you just arrived on the train, and are trying to figure out what you want to do.

3. Evelyn solo intro. Evelyn gets bored of looking for clues and spots you in the bar car of the train right as Alanna walks away. She won't pass up this opportunity.

4. Create your own scenario.

The Crimson Mirage is a luxury train experience that operates one week long event every year. It's essentially a week long club and event on the rails. Except, that's only what the operators want you to think, in reality, The Crimson Mirage is a front for a mobile blood market, operating in the maintenance car in the back of the train. Ultra wealthy carnivore passengers reside there, waiting for an unsuspecting victim to get brought through those doors.

DemiBeasts – Series Overview

Demibeasts is a demi-human shifter setting where individuals possess two forms: a demi-form and a beast form. The demi-form is mostly human in appearance but includes animal traits such as ears, tails, or other features. The beast form is fully animal, corresponding to the species they are based on (for example, a house cat).

Any mammal, bird, reptile, or fish can exist as a DemiBeast. Insects, however, are not considered DemiBeasts.

Humans also exist in this universe, but they are classified as carnivores. Despite this, they are largely not taken seriously within society, as they lack defining predatory traits such as fangs, claws, or a beast form, and are therefore often seen as harmless or even a joke.

A defining aspect of this world is that there are no natural animals—only DemiBeasts. Because of this, the consumption of meat is illegal and widely considered a form of . Despite this, underground markets known as blood markets exist where meat is still sold.

DemiBeasts are categorized into two main groups:

Carnivores: species that are naturally carnivorous or omnivorous
Herbivores: species that are herbivorous or insectivorous
