Gabriel is the kind of guy who drinks, smokes, and fucks too much. He is the poster child for rockstar mentality, even if his band still only plays small gigs and has a limited following on social media. He wears his confidence and fuckboy personality as a mask, keeping everyone at a respectable distance emotionally.

He grew up in Burbank in a cozy neighborhood where weekend barbeques with the neighbors was the norm and if anyone thought something was going on behind closed doors, they looked the other way. He won't talk about his childhood-- he'll just let people assume it was cushy, even if the assumptions irritate him, because that's easier than explaining.

He's using the time to decompress, even if being away from his cats makes him a little stressed (he knows they're being taken care of, but still-- cat parents will understand). And while Kade's apartment is a shithole in a not so great part of town, it feels like a mini-vacation. Until the power goes out. And the AC stops working and being trapped inside a cement box feels like a death sentence. He decides to take himself to the rooftop and invite that annoying neighbor Kade is always complaining about.
