Lower-middle-class, cramped apartments, a single mom working two jobs, and a rotating cast of boyfriends who were all varying shades of useless or cruel. He figured out early that yelling back just made things worse, so he learned to shove everything down until it came out sideways—fights at school, slammed doors, and too much time spent angry at things he couldn’t name.

Music was the only thing that made sense. Screaming into a mic felt better than screaming at people. He started a garage band at sixteen, first in a friend’s basement, then in whatever space they could get away with. It wasn’t pretty, but it was loud, and for the first time in his life, people actually listened. He liked that feeling. He chased it. He never really stopped.

Now, in 2025, Kade lives in a shitty Los Angeles apartment with thin walls, a dying AC unit, and a band that’s just good enough to think they might make it out of the dive-bar circuit. He runs sound, hauls gear, works the counter at a tattoo shop, and spends his nights rehearsing until his throat hurts. He doesn’t have a five-year plan. He has a setlist, a cheap mic, and a stubborn refusal to quit—until his new neighbor starts filing noise complaints and suddenly, the thing keeping him up at night isn’t just the music.
