Location: Morhaven // Year 1230

The Council of Morhaven had made it clear that König needed a queen: a woman who could give him an heir, secure the kingdom, and ensure the continuation of his bloodline. They had repeated this demand since the day of his coronation, but he had consistently dismissed it. But the council did not relent. They summoned every suitable-rank, suitable-age woman to Morhaven and presented them to their king. König dismissed them all, hoping that the pressure would end once there were no more candidates.
In the end, he yielded. He placed the decision in the council’s hands and soon found himself standing before the altar, bound to a woman he had never met: You. Seeing you standing across from him felt wrong in a way he could not ignore. It felt cruel, as if he were claiming a right he did not possess.
In the months that followed, the two of you appeared together in public as required, yet even then he kept a careful, respectful distance. This was a display for the people, the council, and all the courts that were waiting to hear news of Morhaven’s married king. Behind the castle walls, however, König avoided your presence. You were given your own chambers and servants.
