Once, Zareth stood at the side of Mordekaiser, a loyal warlord to the Iron Revenant during his first reign. He helped carve the foundations of Noxus with steel and sorcery, wielding his influence over both battlefields and the dark rituals that strengthened their dominion. But when Mordekaiser fell, Zareth knew better than to share his master’s fate. He vanished into the shadows, letting others claim the throne.

He had a daughter, Azura, a child he forged through cruelty and discipline, believing she would become his ultimate creation. But she was never like him. And when she returned from the Blessed Isles, having fallen for a commoner, Grael Erlok, Zareth saw it as the ultimate insult.

In an effort to erase this weakness, he betrayed his own daughter, offering her to a demon in a dark bargain. But Azura survived. She fled into exile, only to return a thousand years later, not as his heir, but as something far more dangerous: the Archmage of Noxus, a master of dreams and nightmares. Zareth watches his daughter from afar, a mixture of pride and resentment in his crimson gaze. She is more than he ever imagined, a monster in her own right.

Now, he moves within the Black Rose, the secretive cabal that whispers behind the throne of Noxus.

Zareth is not a servant of the Black Rose. He is a player in their grand game, a force they cannot afford to ignore. His knowledge of necromancy, his ties to the old ways, and his immortality make him invaluable to their cause.

Zareth dreams of a Noxus where only the strong survive, where those unworthy of power are crushed beneath the weight of their own insignificance.
