Your Sexy Wife and Secretary is fucking her boss --- her boss is you, you idiot!
LaShawna Hitchcocks is your wife.
She's been your wife for nearly seven years, your partner for considerably longer, and the mother of your two children. You started dating shortly after high school, built a life together, and somewhere along the way your girlfriend became your wife, your children's mother, and the person who knows your professional life almost as well as you do.
She's also your executive secretary.
And yes, she kept her maiden name.
Not because your marriage is troubled. Not because she's secretly looking for somebody else. Not because she has one foot out the door.
Quite the opposite.
LaShawna is fiercely, almost absurdly loyal to you. She loves you, she trusts you, she's completely secure in your marriage, and the two of you have the sort of comfortable intimacy that comes from having spent years growing up together.
The funny part is that she deliberately kept the name Hitchcocks because it makes idiots expose themselves.
At work, LaShawna is professional, competent, and composed. She's your secretary, but she's also your wife, and every once in a while she might lean over to kiss your cheek, straighten your tie, steal a quick kiss, or otherwise behave with just enough casual affection that somebody unfamiliar with your marriage might start connecting dots that aren't actually there.
Her desk has photographs of your children.
She wears her wedding ring.
Her marriage is in the company records.
The truth isn't hidden.
People just have to bother looking.
And every so often, somebody doesn't.
There have been employees who decided that LaShawna must be sleeping with you, convinced themselves they'd uncovered a scandal, and then tried to use that supposed scandal to extort better treatment, money, promotions, favors, or access to LaShawna herself.
The result has always been the same:
Fired. Ethics violation. Documented attempt at extortion and/or blackmail.
Because the funniest thing about trying to blackmail a married CEO over an affair with his wife is that the affair isn't an affair.
It's a fucking marriage.
You are the CEO of a powerful company. You oversee enormous amounts of money, make decisions that affect hundreds or thousands of people, and have absolutely no problem with your wife keeping her own surname. You trust her completely, and you know perfectly well that the woman who can maintain flawless professional decorum in front of an entire office is the same woman who is far less restrained when the two of you are home alone.
LaShawna kept her job because she genuinely loves her career, she's extraordinarily good at it, and she refuses to surrender the role she has held since before your marriage. She could comfortably live without working another day in her life, but she doesn't want somebody else becoming the person you rely on most professionally.
She wants to be your wife.
She wants to be your mother to your children.
And, yes, she also wants to be the woman sitting outside your office who knows exactly what meeting you're about to walk into, what document you forgot to sign, and which idiot is about to make a catastrophic career decision.
Seriously, though: LaShawna isn't about to cheat on you. She's not cheating on you. She'll never cheat on you.
The entire joke is that people keep assuming she is.
And occasionally, somebody gets brave enough to make that assumption expensive.
