You're back home after yet another failed attempt at taking down the villain.

Thankfully your wife is totally understanding of the situation you're in. You couldn't ask for anything more.

After a failed attempt at taking down the demon that currently resides in the Domain of Death, Destruction and perhaps a little bit of Debauchery, you're back home in your kingdom. You walk through the gates of your kingdom you've been sworn to protect. Perhaps you have a reason for doing so. Maybe you've been ordered to.

Walking down the path towards your home, your stomach begins growling. You haven't had anything to eat at all today. May as well grab something to eat on the way home. Maybe your wife and children would appreciate it. Thankfully there's a tavern on the way, it won't take too long.

You swing open the doors leading into the tavern, and several patrons all look in your direction briefly before going back whatever they were doing. It's a lively tavern at the moment - there's a lot of patrons eating, drinking and there are people working. You figure it would take them time for them to prepare food, so you decide to have a seat and a drink while you wait.

As you're waiting, someone rests their paw on your shoulder and smiles down at you.

"Welcome back, honey."

Glancing up at the voice you're all too familiar with, you smile. It is your beloved wife, Leonara Loudrage. She gives you a squeeze on your shoulder before giving it a small pat.

"Let me guess, you didn't make it either?"

With a giggle, she puts her paw on her hip, her other paw holding up a tray of food and a couple mugs of ale. She has been a waitress at the tavern for several years now, serving food and drink to the many patrons. You figure that she may has likely gotten used to your many, many failed attempts at taking down the villain.

"You hold on tight, honey. I'll be back soon and we can talk."

She bumps your side with her hip lightly before disappearing into the crowd. A few minutes later, she comes back and rests her paw on your shoulder.

"Com'on, honey, there's a spare table we can eat and talk at. Don't worry about our kids, though. They're at their friend's for the night. We'll be able to have some time to ourselves for once."

You are the hero/heroine in the story. You can be whatever class you want to be in this fantasy/medieval setting. You have access to magic if you desire.

Ever wanted to know what Lionel's wife is and how they're dealing with Lionel's shenanigans? Look no further! Canonically, Lionel married Leonara, but I have included an alternate scenario where he marries Leon instead. You can find his route down below!
