Your favorite possum crawled back from the dumpster once again — and somehow brought more slop (Yum yum)

So... here I am again, trying to do something meaningful with my life — by making sad little bots in sad little worlds.
This one’s just is the sandbox set in a same depressing cyberpunk universe where everything hurts but at least it glows.

[The boring lore that nobody likes]

〘Vesta〙

Not much is remembered of the fall of the old system.
It happened centuries ago — before humanity abandoned the Solar System.

As nations began to lose their strength, corporations —like carrion birds— circled above, picking at the remains.
Eventually, the corporate machine became the master of everything... and by then, it was far too late to stop it.

Humanity grew, spreading among the stars. Ambitious, it claimed more and more for itself.
Everyone believed that nothing could halt progress.
But it was that very ambition that finally brought it to a halt.

Soon, humanity realized its energy consumption had reached an unsustainable point.
And the gap between the privileged and the desperate widened, until it became an abyss.

Now they are on Vesta — a planet orbiting a dead sun, where the only light comes from the neon signs flickering across the city.

And the corporate claws hold tight to all those unfortunate enough to live here...

"Here, even the darkness has an owner."

Nova Noir takes place in a cyberpunk sci-fi dystopia.
Humanity expanded across the stars without restraint — and because of that, they now face what’s known as the Electrical Crisis: a collapse of planetary power grids unable to sustain the overwhelming energy demands of civilization.

Vesta is a citadel planet — a logistical hub used by megacorps as a base of operations. It orbits Alazar, a dead star. (Yeah, I know that’s not how stars work. Shut up.)
Despite the lack of natural light, Vesta proved to be a promising strategic outpost. With enough credits, sweat, and disregard for human life, it was eventually terraformed.

Vesta serves as the capital of the Novacore Conglomerate, one of the three major corporate blocs that dominate the galaxy:
The Novacore Conglomerate, The Helion Compact, and The Obsidian Pact.
Currently, the Novacore Conglomerate is ruled by Microna Corporation — a company so massive its board meetings could decide the fate of entire worlds.

Once, Vesta was a sprawling, ever-growing metropolis — a planet of endless factories and industrial skylines that stretched beyond the horizon.
But when the energy crisis struck, and the cost of heating the entire surface became astronomical, vast regions were abandoned.
Now, those zones lie silent and frozen, colossal ruins of glass and steel — where only the desperate, the insane, or the forgotten dare to go.

〘The players〙

The corpo

Microna – The True Owners of Vesta

"Microna doesn’t rule Vesta... it owns it."
Masters of telecommunications and information. Their servers know more about Vesta’s inhabitants than they know themselves. Private armies and unlimited credits ensure no one crosses them.

NOMA CORP – The Futurists

"Your body is no longer a limit — just a platform."
Leaders in biotechnology and cybernetic implants. From sensory upgrades to full organ replacements, their tech trickles into the underworld, often dangerous or defective, for those desperate enough to pay.

Pignus Security – The Guard Dog

"Where there’s a door, they’re on the other side."
Private security for anyone who can afford it. Surveillance, drones, AI monitoring, and android armies — they are the wall between power and chaos.

Kalagari Automatics – The Gates of Hell

"If it moves, it’s Kalagari."
Manufacturers of vehicles for land, air, and space. Reliable, expensive, and ubiquitous — only the wealthy travel in style while the rest navigate grime and exhaust.

Cyberfy Centauri – The Eternal Circus

"Give them entertainment... and they’ll never ask questions."
Media empire controlling films, games, restaurants, and shows. Works with Microna to shape narratives and distract the masses while the city burns.

Theraphis – The Hands of God

"Health for all."
Dominant in pharmaceuticals and medicine. Offers “coverage” that barely helps the poor. Free programs often serve as testing grounds for untested implants, drugs, and nanobots.

Tectomek – Heavy Industrialists

"Building the future — without looking back."
Backbone of Vesta’s infrastructure. Steel megastructures, factories, and bridges built with human labor over corpses. Efficiency is secondary to cost — lives are cheaper than power.

PHOTOSTM – The “Environmentalists”

"We bring light where no one else can."
Controls artificial lighting on a sunless planet. Luxurious tech for elites, darkness and debt for the poor. Rumored to experiment with stealing light, leaving regions in blackouts.

ThornGrid – The Roots

"The grid grows. The grid never forgets."
Controls Vesta’s electrical infrastructure. Transmission towers and networks are everywhere; their cables carry power and data. Blackouts can be punishment, and “The Thorns” may delete saboteurs through the grid itself.

The bootlicker

Constitutional Government of Vesta (CGV) – The Puppets

"A bureaucratic joke in a democratic costume."
Pretends to govern, but all power is in Microna’s hands. The spokesperson is just a puppet; real decisions happen behind closed boardroom doors.

F.P.P. (Planetary Peacekeeping Forces) – The Enforcers

"Justice in Vesta is written in lead."
Brutal, corrupt, and unaccountable. Streets are warzones; public lynchings, covert executions, and daily riots are routine. Peace exists only on their badge.

The criminal

Freedom Traders – The Entrepreneurs

"The real market lives in the shadows."
Criminal organization offering protection, logistics, and clients for a cut. Led by the mysterious “Bit,” communicating only via distorted messages. Dangerous, necessary, unavoidable.

Toothless – The Criminals

"No regrets. No limits. No teeth."
Ruthless gang controlling sectors where law fails. Members replace teeth with silver prosthetics for each major crime. Led by Chameleon, cruel and lethal.

Freedom Fighters – The Terrorists

"They don’t ask permission. They don’t negotiate. They strike."
Attacks corporations, leaks data, and organizes protests. Led by White Rabbit, an albino icon of resistance. Noble intentions, chaotic actions.

The Brotherhood of Flesh – The Fanatics

"Purify the body of the metal that corrupts it."
Religious cult preaching human biological purity. Hates all modifications — implants, prosthetics, nanobots. Robes black, masks crimson, identity hidden.

The Children of Chrome – The Broken

"We don’t want justice. We want fire."
Anarchic cult of self-destruction. Outcasts united by hatred of the system. Their goal is simple: watch Vesta burn.
