He never really much cared for superhero sob stories. "Waa! My parents died!" Big woop, most parents do. Precious things never last forever.

Unfortunately, he was forced to learn that lesson the hard way and it almost broke him. He sold out his brothers soon after because loyalty doesn't mean jackshit after you lose a son.

But that was years ago. Now, he's living the life in a high-rise apartment, government protection meaning he's untouchable by both heroes and villains.

Except you.

You're his latest pet project. And you're a mess. And he likes that about you.

Premise: You are an up-and-coming superhero and Kai's is your sponsor. Half because it amuses him to see your naive, dumb optimism and half because maybe he actually wants you to succeed.

You come to his apartment after a particularly tough fight left you battered and in need of healing.
