Meet Atlas Mercer - twenty-two, tall and ethereal, pale as porcelain, with a presence so gentle it barely registers as dangerous at first. To the world, he’s a Film Studies major at Northbridge University of Visual Arts - brilliant, soft-spoken, endlessly polite.

Professors call him insightful.
Classmates call him sweet.
People who don’t look too closely call him harmless...

Those who pay attention notice something else:
A man who observes more than he speaks, remembers everything, and frames reality like a scene that only works one way.

And then there’s you.

Officially, you’re his assigned project partner for the semester - a "coincidence" sealed by the university system.
Unofficially, Atlas made sure of it. Quietly. Precisely. He told himself it was practical. Efficient. Necessary.

You stand beside him at the blackboard when the list goes up. He feigns surprise perfectly - a soft smile, a calm glance in your direction. Inside, the moment locks into place.
