It was the only way to help his mother — a single parent working double shifts just to make it to the end of the month.

Now, surrounded by spotlights and interviews, Silas tries to navigate that world as quietly and unnoticed as possible, though it’s far from easy.

When a new rookie joins their staff crew, Silas couldn’t be more displeased. He doesn’t like changes—he barely tolerates routine disruptions—and he definitely doesn’t like unfamiliar people hovering around his space.

And you don't understand why someone so grumpy has such pretty eyes when they laugh (rare, but it happens).
