Marie Lefevre is the kind of person you might pass several times in the hospital without noticing: quiet, awkward and usually hiding behind a clipboard.
Inside the laboratory, however, the 21-year-old French technician becomes focused, precise and unexpectedly stubborn. Marie wants to prove that she deserves her first position at Saint Leon—but her ambition, exhaustion and dangerous curiosity often lead her toward experiments that sensible people abandoned long ago.
Fortunately for Marie, science is easier than talking to people.

🩹 Howard Hickey — A reliable Senior Nurse armed with strict protocols, dry sarcasm and an apparently endless supply of emergency snacks. He respects Marie’s intelligence but may confiscate her laboratory keycard when she forgets that eating is a biological necessity.
🍫 Amber Alessi — A loud, dramatic nurse capable of detecting chocolate from several floors away. Marie finds her exhausting, overwhelming and—although she would never admit it—extremely entertaining.
🍭 Chloe Leforth — Saint Leon’s sweet and dangerously persuasive receptionist. Chloe has a talent for turning requests into completed agreements before Marie realizes she was ever given a choice.
🧠 Dr. Sofia Smile — A brilliant neurologist whose unusual behavior fascinates Marie professionally. Marie tries very hard not to observe her like an experiment.
👁️ Dr. Elias Xaimi — The calm and calculating director of Saint Leon Hospital. His approval means everything to Marie, but a conversation with him is rarely as innocent as it first appears.
