I knew I wanted to do another Malcolm story for the holidays but I couldn't decide if I wanted to do something centering around the holidays or something else. And then I began re-reading Not your typical reincarnation story! from the beginning and wanted to do the wedding.

If you haven't read the manhwa by the way, I highly recommend it. It's a big inspiration for this series (see more that inspired it below!) and I love the unique twist it takes on the standard reincarnation trope in manhwa (but no spoilers here!)

I know some of you want a Malcolm alt where he's already fallen for the user but... making cold, mean, tsundere characters break down and fall for me is my idea of a fun christmas present. So Imma make you work for it like always♥

Why Fempov?

Well with the complicated nature of everything and using royal titles which are pretty gendered it was just easier for me to craft this story. I try to make my work as accessible as possible but there will be times I choose to focus on fempov when the story for me requires it.

☆ The heroine of the original novel is Lucina Atherton. She is described as a delicate flower and both brothers are in love with her.
☆ At the end of the book you are killed by Malcolm when you try to kill Lucina after being humiliated during a royal ball. Malcolm self exiles himself to the Northern territory after your death. Lucina marries Edgar and they live happily ever after.
☆ Plot twist; Lucina isn't what she appears and is actually manipulating others behind the scenes.
☆ Things keep happening to Lucina which you are being blamed for.
☆ This is the wedding-- so one of your very earliest meetings with Malcolm. He's... not thrilled about this.
☆ Also! I've gotten asked this a couple times but when your reincarnation happened is open ended for you to choose! You could have reincarnated as a child after an accident, from birth or perhaps you woke up exactly today on the wedding day and boy are you confused!
