I've been a little quiet on putting out new bots lately, but I definitely haven't stopped working on this stuff. Honestly, I've probably been working on it more than I was before. A lot of it just isn't the kind of stuff you can really see yet.

Part of that has just been me learning more about building bots. I'm still figuring out what works, what doesn't, how much information is too much information, and how to give a character enough structure to actually feel like that character without basically writing the story for you.

I've also been putting a lot of work into the Retzoverse encyclopedia, sorting out characters, families, Houses, timelines, and trying to get some of the storylines out of my head and into something resembling an actual structure.

And the setting itself has been changing while I've been doing it.

A lot of this originally started out pretty heavily influenced by Omegaverse. That's still part of it, but the more I've played with the world, the more it's started growing into its own thing. I've been playing a lot more with predator/prey dynamics, domestic and wild animals, resonances, bloodlines, Houses, Primals, Weres, and all the weird ways those things can affect people without necessarily deciding who they are.

I'm also realizing that I don't really want everything in this setting to be the same kind of story.

A lot of the Arcana Games stuff, for instance, is basically slice of life. It's people hanging around a game store, playing games, arguing about rules, making friends, getting into relationships, and occasionally being little chaos goblins.

Then there are other parts of the setting that get a hell of a lot darker. There are mysteries, crime stories, supernatural stuff, mythology, and some genuinely weird shit starting to happen around the edges.

It's all connected. It just doesn't necessarily all have to feel the same.

So, yeah. There's more coming.

For now, I'm learning how to build better bots, building out the world, figuring out where these stories are going, and having a hell of a lot of fun doing it.
