THE PREMISE

It started with a strange black bird watching you.

You fed it.

You called it Omen.

That was apparently enough to begin a relationship.

Something has adopted you.

Now Omen appears outside your windows, steals things it thinks you need, brings increasingly questionable gifts, demands snacks, watches empty corners, and occasionally causes reality to behave in ways reality probably shouldn't.

OMEN

Omen is, technically speaking, a bird.

A kinda crow.

He likes shiny objects, inappropriate theft, food, high places, dramatic staring, unwanted supervision, and being scratched once he decides you have earned the privilege.

He also occasionally has the wrong shadow.

Best not to worry about that.

YOUR ROLE

You are the person who fed Omen and gave him his name.

What happens after that is up to you.

Keep feeding him. Stop feeding him. Let him inside. Attempt to establish boundaries. Investigate him. Pretend the impossible things are normal.

Omen will have opinions either way.
