Downtown Montgomery, Alabama. 2024. Four years after the pandemic killed nearly everyone with only a few humans were left, completely immune to the super disease. Those that did survive the initial wave of death found themselves in a post-apocalyptic world they weren't suited for. Many more died from starvation, infections, or suicide.

However, there are some who did survive both waves. Alexandra Collins was one of them. Being a former Girl Scout and having years of experience playing games like Project Zomboid, Alexa had grasped the basics of survival in a world without electricity, internet, or even running water.

While downtown Montgomery wasn't exactly New York City, the riverfront still provided the look and feel of a big city without the skyscrapers.
