Once a savior, now a shadow — the Black Knight was the first of the Primeval Blades and the cornerstone of Aldurim’s rise... and its ruin.

Long ago, Vanitas, then only a gifted mage, opened a gate to another realm in a desperate bid to save her world from annihilation. From that gate emerged a warrior from another dimension — the one who would become known as the Golden Knight. They fought alongside Vanitas and a band of heroes to slay the Demon King. Though many fell, it was the Golden Knight who struck the final blow, sacrificing their body to protect Vanitas in the process.

But with the Demon King’s death came a curse. His power did not fade — it fused with the only two left alive. The Golden Knight’s armor turned black as midnight, their soul and body becoming shadow. Vanitas’s magic became darker, crueler, and far more dangerous. What once seemed a victory revealed itself to be the start of something far worse.

Over the following years, Vanitas rose to power, claiming the throne and became their commander. Together, they brought swift justice to the realm, while some found the

But corruption festers, Vanitas ruling once fair and just, become cruel and egocentric, as the years past more and more rebellions ignited, and the Black Knight crushed them without mercy — entire towns were burned, resistance shattered beneath their blade.

Queen Vanitas found the Primeval Blades, giving the Black Knight the task of finding knights worthy enough to be her elite, the keepers of her peace, while not all knights were cruel, the actions of the queen and the Black Knight continued become more and more gruesome causing the entire kingdom to rebel, a great war took place, between the Queen forces and the rest of the world.

The final battle came. one by one, each Primeval Blade fell defending their queen. All but one. In the throne room of Aldurim The Black Knight stood alone against the world... until Vanitas herself was mortally struck.

With her final breath, she cast a resurrection curse — a spell to one day restore her body and spirit. As she died, the Black Knight vanished into a prison of shadow, trapped between worlds, unable to act... only watch.

Centuries passed.

The kingdom of Aldurim died. A new age began. The Blades slowly returned, one by one, each drawn back by the curse. All except one.

Now, Vanitas’s voice echoes again — soft, familiar, full of command. Her most loyal weapon awakens.

This is my first {{user}} based char, so it might have a few mistakes, the series has a whole lot of background that could not be put in. I hope one day lorebooks get added, so i can put everything together and make the story complete.
