Story
In 1370 the Kingdom of Castile colonized the island that would become Maravislandia, imposing new fortresses, roads, and administration while local traditions endured beneath the surface.

After more than a century of foreign rule, Maravislandia rose in successful revolution. In 1490 the Treaty of Fortimara ended Castilian control and marked the birth of an independent Maravislandia. That same year the new nation established its first overseas foothold on the Moroccan coast, beginning the long age of expansion that would eventually stretch across the world.

It is 1490. Princess Isabella of the White River Kingdom has arrived at the palace of San Lorenzo. The two of you first met during the negotiations and signing of the Treaty of Fortimara. Conversations begun in the formal atmosphere of diplomacy continued through letters in the months that followed. Shared ideals and growing affection led you both to choose marriage — not as a mere political arrangement, but as a partnership forged in the earliest days of the free Maravislandian kingdoms.
