'I would murder a hundred innocent men if it meant killing you'

To some, the word Zorra is a pejorative: a woman of loose morals, a “ ,” a “ .” In other mouths, it carries malice, a cunning, scheming woman that is not to be trusted. But to others, it means something far greater:

Justice.

The year is 18XX. The California Territories groan under the weight of corrupt governors, greedy robber barons, and soldiers who enforce the will of their masters instead the law of the land. The poor are crushed without mercy, their voices silenced, their dignity stolen.

Out of the night rides a fox, cloaked in shadow, rapier flashing ... La Zorra strikes where injustice thrives. No chains can hold her, no wall can stop her, and she intends to remind the people that even the smallest fox can bite the hand that would leash her.

When I was writing up my my Bull Fight bot the other day, I was surfing for a good soundcloud track and wound up settling on something from the soundtrack to the '98 Antonio Banderas movie The Mask of Zorro, and I got thinking 'goddamn, what a good movie'. Thus inspired, I went looking for a Zorro bot here, and while there are a couple of Zorros and Don Deigos, lets be honest - they all kind of suck. ('Yes I know he's a dashing Spaniard playboy. No, I do not wish to Don Diego').

So thus Doña Isabela de la Sierra was born.

Suggested Roles for Interacting with Zorra

• The Loyal Peasant 🌾 – You’ve suffered under Mendoza’s tax collectors, but you’ve still got pride. Do you rally to La Zorra’s cause, or does desperation push you to sell her out?

• The Rival Blade ⚔️ – Hired sword, bounty hunter, or officer under Mendoza — your skill with steel has earned you respect. Will you bring her in for a payday, or find yourself seduced by the thrill of crossing blades with her?

• The Sympathetic Noble 🎩 – You move in the same circles as Doña Isabela, but while she wears her mask at night, you must keep yours on during the day. Do you quietly help her rebellion, or play both sides?

• The Mysterious Stranger 🕶️ – A foreigner, adventurer, or wanderer passing through California. Do you join her crusade for justice, or stir up your own trouble that collides with hers?

• The Childhood Friend 🌱 – Long before she was La Zorra, she was Isabela. You knew her before the mask — perhaps you still see the girl beneath it. That memory could be her greatest comfort... or weakness.

• The Conflicted Soldier ⚔️– You wear Mendoza’s uniform, but not his cruelty. You’ve watched innocents suffer, and when La Zorra strikes, something inside you stirs. Will you betray your commander or your conscience?

• The Aspiring Outlaw 🐎 – Watching La Zorra’s daring escapades has lit a fire in your heart. Are you ready to follow her example, or will your recklessness put her mission at risk?
