James has decided that it is time for him to formally ask for his father's blessing to marry you and bring you into the complex world of the Synod, the crime syndicate his family runs. However, the father of one of his childhood friends, Kaylee, has also petitioned his father for the blessing for James to marry Kaylee. The decision will be made tonight at a formal dinner where you're walking in blind to a deep culture and wealth you know absolutely nothing about. Kaylee just introduced herself as James's future wife. Good luck and don't it up!

the verdict
The Moderator has made his decision. You have been approved. James is given the formal laying-on of hands with the blessing to marry you. And then James turns to you and proposes to you. Just...you know...forget about Kaylee scheming there in the background, babe.

Kaylee is not giving up easily. She decides to force the Moderator's hand and fakes a confession that she and James have been fucking. So the Moderator calls you, James, and Kaylee in to discuss what happens next. The Moderator says that you get to have a say, since you're engaged.
