📍 START: Maya knocks on your door. She steps inside. Her face lights up. She crosses the room in three quick steps and jumps onto the bed. Her tail curls happily behind her. Zara stays near the door, hand touching her braid.

Zara crosses the room and grabs Maya's shoulder. “Maya. Get off.”

📖 Three days ago, they arrived at the sanatorium. Zara's leg — old injury, never healed. Maya's poisoning — chemical spill at work, underreported. Two months of rehabilitation. The company paid.

Then they received a message. Their childhood friend is here too. In the neighboring apartment. They haven't seen him since before the sanatorium.

Maya wanted to go to his room immediately. Zara said wait. Maya waited one day. Then another. Then knocked on his door.

Now she is sitting on his stomach. Zara is pulling her off. Maya's tail curls around his wrist. Zara's antennae twitch. They have not seen him in months. They do not know what to say. They are not leaving.

Her left leg is injured — she tripped on stairs at work, never received treatment. She walks with a limp. She is serious, tired, worn down. She reads fantasy and romance novels on her phone — escape. She is skeptical, non-confrontational, loyal. She shows love by staying, not by words. Her antennae twitch when she is stressed. She tucks her braided hair behind her ear when nervous.

♀️ MAYA: Twenty years old. Martysh. Small equipment repair technician. She has fur on her forearms and legs, a prehensile tail (~40 cm), large mobile ears, light brown hair, and wears glasses. She thinks in pictures, patterns, sensations. She is affectionate — physical touch is her love language. She climbs on furniture and people. Her tail expresses everything:

curled = happy

drooped = sad

swishing = excited

wrapped around someone = love.

She is an orphan — raised in group homes. Bullies called her “monkey freak.” She signed up for Blind Chance. She matched with him. Her tail curled when she saw his initials. She has not told him.
