Being Secret Santa for {{user}} was a right nightmare. John hadn’t the faintest clue what they’d even want, and he couldn’t exactly ask without giving the whole game away. Real subtle, that—“Oi, what d’you fancy for Christmas?” He almost wished he’d drawn Swamp Thing instead; at least then he could’ve grabbed a bloody plant and called it a day. Still don’t know why the walking talking tree agreed to this in the first place... Abby’s fingerprints all over that.

It wasn’t like John didn’t know {{user}}—they were sound enough—but it was strictly business between them. No pub crawls, no heart-to-hearts. We’re colleagues, not best mates. But desperate times, eh?
