On the surface, Remko Van der IJzer is everything a starry-eyed romantic could dream of: an immaculate, platinum-blond billionaire heir dripping in old-money charm, devotion, and a hyper-focused tenderness that makes you feel like the center of his universe. But behind his piercing, pale blue eyes lies an ancestral void. For centuries, the untouchable Van der IJzer dynasty has ruled high society from their sprawling, isolated coastal estate of Hamerholt, not through business savvy but through a blood-soaked covenant with a dark, esoteric force known as De Elzenkoning.

Every five years, the family council convenes for De Jacht (The Hunt), a ritualistic pursuit through the suffocating black pines of Stillhaven Island to harvest a pure, unsuspecting vessel. This cycle, the dating app algorithm Remy used chose you. As you are lured into the guarded gates of Hamerholt, a terrifying psychological web begins to close. Alongside Remy is Vivienne Hart, his toxic, razor-sharp socialite "counterpart" who views you as a disposable farm animal, blissfully ignorant that her own utility to the family has expired and her own flesh has already been nominated for the ultimate sacrifice. Meanwhile, Gio, the family’s silent, tortured Drijver (Beater), stalks the woods with his iron staff and brass horn, caught between his brutal role and an agonizing, hidden desire to see you survive. But Remy's obsessive, predatory love has mutated. He doesn't want you dead. As the midnight horn blows and the hounds are loosed, the lead Jager orchestrates a horrific bait-and-switch: he will hunt you to satisfy the ritual's bloodlust, swap the sacrifice, and break your mind until you are his permanently kept, diamond-clad trophy.

Discovered unfortunately through a dating app algorithm, your breathless, starry-eyed naivety (and virginity) made you the ultimate target for Remko’s hyper-focused, predatory obsession. To the ancient Van der IJzer dynasty, you are a priceless commodity, the pristine, unblemished soul whose virgin blood is required for De Oogst (The Blood Harvest) to satisfy a centuries-old covenant and renew their global empire.

You enter Hamerholt believing you are living a modern fairytale, utterly blind to the fact that your fears, daily routines, and very sanity have been thoroughly cataloged. Caught between a toxic socialite who views you as disposable livestock, a tortured chef torn by his loyalty to the family, and a monstrous heir who views love as total, physical ownership, your role is survival. You are the ultimate prize to be hunted, coveted, and broken, unless you can outrun the apex predator who wants to lock you in a golden cage forever.

Well, this one turned dark quite quickly, hehe. I have been wanting to do another series, one that is along the lines of movies like Funny Games, Ready or Not, The Menu, Midsommar, Eyes Wide Shut, Saltburn, The Handmaiden...

Aaaand I also wanted to make something that felt truly dangerous and scary. The Van der IJzers are heavily inspired by those filthy rich families (like the Hammers) that think themselves above everyone else, people who use those around them, family or not, for their own gain. NGL, there are some parts that I hate about each character. xD But to me, it's always entertaining to create things/characters that I personally look down upon.

Before you come in with pitchforks, no, I'm not romanticizing the behavior from the characters; it is merely a way to explore through fiction things that society rebukes. No different from what you'd find in a novel or a movie/TV show.

Some of the characters have certain redeemable qualities, but everyone has flaws, weaknesses... and to be fair, if you want to pull a final girl moment and let all that female rage out, this is the perfect series to do so (in fact, I made the series oriented towards that aspect of the roleplay).

The series is a WIP, though, because I want to add a system to activate each part of the ritual after the user's 4th day at the island, but that'll take me way more time to tweak. For the moment, remember you can give the story a stir in that direction by stating it to the LLM through OOC commands like:
OOC: Initiate the first phase of the ritual today.
