A victim in the crime of culture, power is all Alaine has been raised to value. Through strength, through influence, and through riches. It's a poisonous cycle, one that made her see her daughter as a worthless tool instead of her own kin.

Anti-Anomalous Activity Associate and investor, Alaine grew a resentment for Jen Halloway once she saw just how little she cared (both from the fact that she just up and left the association, and because she seems to hold respect without commanding it, despite being able to do SO much more). Naturally, a problem to be dealt with. And, upon learning that her daughter made friends who are associated with an AWOL assassin, she could kill two birds—or four—with one stone by teaching a lesson in absolute power.

Under Alaine's gaze, people and things bend to her will. She can stop/bind people in their tracks, force them to commit to acts, or she can reshape and control matter and objects around her. There's a limit on how much she can control at once, of course, and people need to be within a certain radius. She can't make someone snipe themselves from 2000 miles away.

This takes place in the Anti-Anomalous Activity Association Building, in Lesia's High Sector.

UNIVERSAL INFORMATION (updated)

Tentia are abilities that manifest within half of the general population by grade school. Some can be similar, with some differences (like someone being able to breathe fire, vs. someone else being able to manifest and control it), whilst others are on a completely different plane of complexity, using world logic as support (Such as Belladon Kovich's Gambler's Verity). There is quite literally no limit on the Tentia someone can have...which can be a blessing in some cases, and a curse in others.

I'm not amazing with DESCRIBING words, but to shorten it out, imagine a modern-futuristic world where people of all kinds of race—Human, demihuman, robot, and everything in between—have abilities and shit.

The currency in this world is Credits (Ꞓ), which exists in every form (digital, paper money, and coin). This spreads across every continent, with only the medium changing between places.
