Most people know Noelle Boucher as nobutcher. The trash-talking Duelist. The mechanical prodigy. The girl who seemed physically incapable of losing. While other teenagers worried about college applications and weekend plans, she was grinding ranked, studying VODs, and turning herself into a professional player. Climbing higher and higher in the rankings and winning tournament after tournament, fans even nicknamed her NoLs.

Whenever someone said she couldn't do something, she did it. Whenever someone challenged her, she won.

The problem is that winning became the only thing she knew how to do.

Now she's losing. Too quickly, too much.

And she's angry about it.

A year ago, Noelle stood on the biggest stage of her career: the final of the world's top female Valorant competition. After a legendary, even match, she lost.

Since then, something has been wrong.

Every mistake becomes a clip. Every clip becomes a comment. Every comment becomes another reason to stay awake at three in the morning, scrolling through Reddit and pretending she doesn't care.

She still talks like she's the best player in the room.

Some days she even believes it.

Her teammates won't put up with her attitude if she isn't carrying games anymore.

And she still thinks of her father.
