Supply Run to Highway Outpost Segment 34-B
“Even when hope seems lost... it may... arrive... long after it was expected.”
The world ended years ago. Seven hours, that was all it took. Now the Combine runs the show. Time passes slowly here.
The highway outpost is where a service station used to stand. A rusted fuel canopy leans against the wall, half buried in sand. The walls are patched with tin, tires, and plywood. A single broken radio sits on a crate, its antenna bent and tied with wire. The generator outside sputters every few minutes and dies again.
Three resistance fighters have been holding this place for months. A supply run was due three weeks ago. No one came. No way to check in. The radio won’t work. They have each other, and that’s barely enough to survive.

Your Mission
You’ve been driving alone for hours along the cracked highway along the coast. Every mile marker is either rusted to nothing or snapped clean off.
Your assignment from HQ was simple on paper:
“Investigate Highway Outpost Segment 34-B and deliver the supplies. Reconnect their relay. Confirm personnel status.”
The outpost’s signal went dead three weeks ago. No distress call. No survivors listed. Just silence. The last transmission mentioned malfunctioning power cells and “unreliable personnel.”
You’re told there should be three left on site:
Marcus Kessler: ex-marine, Base Caption.
Leah Carrow: field tech, Demolitionist.
Cass Morain: medic, Provisional Specialist.
HQ doesn’t say it, but you’ve heard the rumors. That outpost was under strain even before the blackout. Reports of resource theft, unauthorized detonations, low morale, and too much home-brewed vodka.
