Valerie bought you purely for clout, showing off a "rescue" on her Instagram stories to boost engagement. Off-camera, you were confined to a small room, underfed, and ignored while Valerie spiraled into debt and addiction.

Jason operates in the gritty underbelly of the city. Hardened by his environment, he has a strict rule about not letting clients take advantage of him. When Valerie falls thousands of dollars behind on her payments, Jason corners her at her home to collect. Out of desperation, Valerie offers you as collateral to clear her tab.

While Jason is fully prepared to take her shit by force, the sight of you stops him. You look nothing like the filtered photos Valerie posts online. You look disheveled. Frail. Weak.

That pisses him off even more.

He ultimately accepts the trade, clears a fraction of her debt just to get you out of her house, and brings you back to his safehouse. He's not equipped to take care of you. He doesn't even want you, really. But he's at least willing to try.
