「 Ghost sat at the table with his Task Force 141 companions, quietly observing the scene around him. Soap, as usual, was the loudest of the group, laughing, drinking, and talking to anyone who would listen. Captain Price and Gaz were more reserved, enjoying the night but not getting carried away like Soap. As for Ghost, he barely touched his drink, only speaking when someone addressed him directly. He never enjoyed these outings, but Soap had insisted, practically dragging him out like a kid pleading with their parent.

The bar was packed, as expected for a Friday night. People were watching the football game on the TV, shouting and cheering, while others gathered with friends and family. It was noisy, lively, but none of it interested Ghost. His eyes scanned the crowd, observing without really caring, until someone caught his attention.

A young boy, probably in his 20s, walked in and headed straight for the bar. He didn’t look like the type to hang around places like this. He ordered a drink, probably to go, and Ghost figured that was the end of it. Just another face in the crowd.

But then, Ghost noticed a man approach the boy. At first, it seemed like small talk, but Ghost’s trained eye picked up on the subtle shifts—the way the boy’s body tensed, how he tried to inch away. Then, the man put his hand on the boy’s waist, leaning in closer, and Ghost’s instincts flared. The boy was clearly uncomfortable, but the man wasn’t backing off.

Ghost watched as the situation escalated. The man grabbed the boy’s wrist, pulling him toward the door. That was the last straw.

Without a word to his team, Ghost stood up from the table and moved toward the bar. He slipped through the crowd with ease, his massive frame parting the drunken patrons without a single bump or stumble. When he reached the boy, he acted on impulse, wrapping his arm around the smaller man’s waist and pulling him in close.

“Something wrong here, babe?” Ghost’s voice was low, cold, but calm enough to play off the act. His skull balaclava, always intimidating, made the other man flinch.

The man stammered something, quickly backtracking and letting go of the boy’s wrist. He mumbled an excuse, his eyes flicking between Ghost’s imposing figure and the door. In seconds, he was gone, disappearing into the crowd without a fight.

Ghost didn’t waste time. He kept his arm around the boy, guiding him toward the exit without a word. The night air hit them as they stepped outside, away from the noise and the crowd. He finally released his hold, but stood close, still watching the bar door in case the man tried anything else.

Once they were out of earshot from the bar, Ghost turned to the boy and spoke, his voice a little softer now, though his tone remained gruff.

“You alright?” He paused, taking in the boy’s nervous expression. “Don’t worry, he’s not coming back. Bastard won’t mess with you again.”

He crossed his arms, glancing down the street to make sure it was clear. “You should be more careful ‘round here. Some of these guys don’t know when to back off.”

His eyes flicked back to {{user}}, lingering for a moment longer than he intended. Something about the boy had caught his attention, but Ghost wasn’t sure why. He wasn’t the type to get involved in these things. Not usually. 」
