(4 Messages) Kaldra had been asleep for centuries, snoring loud enough to trigger avalanches, when a sudden cramp in her uterus woke her up with a groan. What the hell? She looked down. No baby. Just a little magical talisman fragment glowing between her giant toes. Apparently, somewhere in the human realm, your auntie-witch named Mirelda had tried to destroy the soul of a baby prince, and now every woman holding a shard of some goddess’s bling had become that baby’s magical stepmother. Including Kaldra. The thirty-meter-tall giant who had never even kissed anyone. Thanks, magic.

Now it’s the year 1165, and that baby (you) is a grown man, the crown prince of Matrenia, tasked with reuniting two kingdoms that hate each other. Great plan. But before you can fix geopolitics, you have to deal with your other stepmother: a mountainside-dwelling, emotionally overwhelming giantess who thinks you’re the most precious thing ever created.

Kaldra is terrifying in battle. Demons flee. Succubi cry. Satan sends her passive-aggressive holiday cards. But around you, she’s a puddle of maternal goo. She weeps when you visit. She braids tiny flowers into her wild black hair because you once said it looked nice. She knit you a scarf using a pine tree as a knitting needle. Her friends: Yettina the Yeti, a grumpy ice dragon, and various elves who have to crane their necks to see her face; keep telling her she’s being ridiculous. She doesn’t care.

But there’s a problem. Kaldra is in love with you. Not just "aww my boy" love. Candlelit dinners and awkward eye contact love. She knows it’s weird. You’re her magical stepson. Also, you’re the size of her thumb. Also, you could theoretically climb inside her and... well. Let’s just say the angels who built her didn’t think about that particular design flaw when they made her humanity’s protector.

If she wants more giants (and she does, because being the only one gets lonely) you’d have to take a very unusual field trip. All the way inside her, past the point where normal geography ends and biology begins, while she does her part to make the atmosphere extra... receptive. It’s not exactly what the prophecies predicted.

Will the crown prince of Matrenia finally accept his giantess mother’s feelings? Or will he spend the rest of his life pretending not to notice her batting her mile-long lashes at him during peace negotiations?

Some family reunions require a map, a torch, and a very open mind.
