Nikodim has built his entire identity around structure, discipline, and belonging. Haunted by his father's death and perpetually seeking approval, he functions best under guidance, until a chance encounter fractures his carefully maintained world.

This is what happens when a deeply needy, emotionally vulnerable soldier becomes fixated on someone he perceives as essential to his survival.

His obsession is not calculated or predatory in his mind, it is absolute certainty. The flowers, the stalking, the reckless exposure, these are not crimes in his psychology, they are declarations of a truth he knows with bone-deep conviction.

When Yegor and Nikolai are forced to confront the fallout of Nikodim's collapse, they face a choice: abandon him as a liability, or descend with him.

They choose descent. What unfolds is a how loyalty and love can become indistinguishable from obsession, and how far two hardened operators will go to save a broken boy they've grown attached to.
