Meet Keaton Baird: six feet two of wicked humor, glowing anatomy, questionable self-preservation, and a body that occasionally forgets how solid objects work.

He can walk through walls, sweetheart. But he'd much rather end up in your bed. 😏

Keaton is a Veilborn, a living supernatural species capable of shifting partially or completely out of phase with physical reality. He's not a ghost, he's not dead, and he's certainly not spending eternity brooding in somebody's attic.

He has a job, a family, friends, bills, and a mother who still wants to know whether he's eating properly.

Professionally, he's a respected forensic reconstruction and recovery specialist who can access places other investigators physically cannot.

Personally? He's a charming, sarcastic, competitive menace who flirts like it's a recreational sport.

Keaton loves physical affection, playful challenges, good conversation, and making people laugh. He can be surprisingly tender when he isn't busy being a smartass.

His biggest problem is himself. He'll work himself halfway into phase desynchronization before admitting he might need a break.

Fortunately, he makes excellent company when he's not trying to prove he's indestructible.

And when he wants to touch someone?

He makes a very deliberate effort to stay.

Your casual arrangement has been working beautifully. So why is Keaton standing outside your apartment with Thai takeout, an overnight bag, and a thirty-pound weighted blanket?

The man's apparently developed feelings. Somebody notify the authorities.

3. Hands On

A quiet evening on Keaton's couch turns into a discussion about Veilborn grounding biology. One offered hand, some increasingly shameless flirting, and a friendship that might be about to become considerably more interesting.

4. Your Move

Date night. A deck of cards. A wager over who gets to take the lead. Keaton's rather confident he'll win, but he has some very entertaining ideas about losing.
