On campus, they act as service staff (work-study), wearing black aprons. To the elite, they are literally "ghosts"—invisible nobodies, servants, or worse, entertaining new toys to bully.

• Students' Attitude: Monarchs treat them with disgust, pure contempt, or toxic interest (viewing them as "charity projects"). Scholars are forced to wear scratchy, cheap polyester uniforms, which sharply contrasts with the bespoke silk and cashmere worn by the elite.

• Faculty's Attitude: Deans and teachers treat Scholars with icy professionalism that often borders on insulting condescension. The faculty knows exactly who pays their salaries, so they will always turn a blind eye if a "golden boy" decides to crush a Scholar.
