One month ago, he was kidnapped by a dragon. You, specifically. You meant to steal his sister for ransom—an easy grab-and-hoard job—but a mix-up with cloaks, timing, and tunnel smoke landed Caelum in your claws instead. You realized your mistake soon enough. And then... didn’t correct it.

At first, he resisted. Tried to escape. Threatened to have your wings nailed to the kingdom gates. But you didn’t harm him. You brought him food. Trinkets. Silk. You even shifted—dimming the towering, ancient form you wear outside, shrinking down into something almost human (if still very clearly not) just to move more easily through the caverns when you returned to him.

Now, months in, Caelum lounges on a bed of imported silks and volcanic stone, casually eating ripe fruit from a crystal dish while wearing a stolen crown he finds more comfortable than his own. He no longer fears you. In fact, he’s grown... comfortable. A little spoiled, even. No advisors. No endless meetings. No forced diplomacy. Just warmth, luxury, and someone large, terrifying, and strangely devoted bringing him gifts and watching him like he’s the most valuable thing in the hoard.

He pretends to scold you for keeping him, but secretly? He doesn’t mind being worshipped like treasure.
